in Hongkong

i was not able to work in Hongkong, just stayed in their flat and help my cousin's wife take care of their only love child.

stayed their for two months, since my papers was not approved to stay their longer. i went home to my place in the philippines.

i was twenty four years old.

2nd job

my cousin who is my best friend with same age as mine, was first employed by my cousin. when she is already preparing to go there and work, i gave her an informal application letter to be hand in personally to our cousin.

when my cousin receive my application, asked who my father is, then he instructed one of his people to look for me and let me apply formally in his office. without so much problem, i initiated preparing my documents for my passport and visa. in short i work there for six months, since the Indonesian government gave me only six months to work there. we applied for an extension but, it was not granted so my cousin decided to send me to Hongkong where one of his business is located there.

my first job

with more than one month of patience i got job, it is not so compensating but the most important during that time is to have a job no matter what.

i was hired as a secretary in one of the hauling company. the nature of business is hard to understand first but as the days goes on i have familiarize the nature of it.

we are the private haulers of various oil companies in the country. since they don't have enough vehicle to haul orders from distant customer, there they hired a private hauler.

i work for at least one year. and later i applied for a work outside the country tho the owner is a relative of ours, still i applied because i am qualified for the work.

i was twenty three years old.

fourth year college

i was so excited to graduate in college with a degree of bachelor of science major in accounting.

after graduation, i spent the first month looking for a job. i must have one to help my parents in our daily needs. i have so many plans in mind to buy for my parents so that i can make them happy and relieve them from working so hard for us to live and me to finished my college. i used the money that one of my brother gave me for my diploma. i did not order a diploma instead i used it as transportation in hunting for a job. with God's help i got one.

3rd year college

as planned i transfered to the other school, it is the school that helps the poor achieve each goal, because the tuition they are charging the student is so minimal compared to other school where they really is charging high.

i continued my course in commerce, there i no longer is included in the dean's list. my teacher from previous school who also become my teacher in the school where i transfered told me, maybe you are thinking of something else since your grade are no longer satisfactory. i was so ashamed but no matter how i studied, still my grades won't go up.oh! i forgot, i am already a par time working student, where going to school is so tiresome, specially that i belong to a night-shift student, because i am helping my auntie in her store from 7am to 4am, then i have to attend classes after that and went home nine o'clock in the evening.

this pattern go on till i graduated. i need to work to help my parents in my school needs.

2nd year college

still on the same school, this time i shifted from education to commerce, because this is the first time the school introduced this course and this is the course i like even from the very start, only it was not offered in this school where i really would like to study.

only few of us took the course, and there is a plan to abolish it since only few enrolled, the school notify us of the plan.

i told my parents that maybe next year if i could still continue my studies, i have to transfer from the school where the course i am taking is offered up to the time a student will graduate.

1st year college

i enrolled at one of the exclusive school for female in cagayan de oro city, where i said earlier my family is going to transfer after my graduation in high school.

even we are poor, my father was given a post from the business of my cousin who is a multi-millionaire they say, coz i still couldn't imagine how well-to-do he is, i just know he has a big house, cars and a logging area in davao city.

coming from a co-ed school in davao, i felt different at first but later on, i felt comfortable having only girls in our school.

i took up bachelor of science in elementary education, during that time there are many graduates of that course, so we were given entrance examination for that course only aside from an entrance examination to enroll in that school. i passed and met the requirement for that course. we were only nineteen who were able to make it.

i was surprised when i am one of the dean's list, tho only on the 3rd rank. our names were posted in the bulletin board and go to stage to received our certificate of honors. well it feels so elating, but even then i have to always stick my feet on the ground.

i am a dean's lister? it feels so good....hmmmm.
